    About me:

After experiencing my first savasana (final resting pose) I was intrigued by what a yoga practice had to offer. Since then my fascination and respect for the intimate connection of body, mind and breath continues to deepen. I live each day in homage to the empowering, joyful and healing benefits of yoga.

Many years since that first savasana I've delved into over 500 hours of yoga studies. My certifications include: Pre & Postnatal Yoga, which begun with Leslie Lytle and continued to flourish with Sue Elkind, who believed in me from the start. Postnatal yoga with Lara Kohn Thompson & Restorative Yoga: Relax and Renew ® with Judith Lasater. Pelvic Floor Yoga® with Leslie Howard whose work and guidance has been of the utmost importance. Yoga Nidra is a mainstay in my personal practice and teachings. Deep gratitude for the goddess Tracee Stanley who offers such integrity and grace in her teachings and space holding. Ayurveda is threaded throughout my offerings - and am a certified Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist thru the Himalayan Institute. My yoga journey led me to be initiated into the Sri Vidya Tantric lineage in which I am a forever student, ever curious and astounded by the body and all the healing realms.

    what others are saying:

"I spent years searching for an answer to my chronic back pain, including medication, physical therapy and acupuncture. Within a month of working with Suki doing yoga 1-2 times a week, I saw a noticeable decrease in my pain. However, what I received from her classes was way more than that. I found a chance to reconnect to my whole body in a loving way, in a supportive environment, after years of ignoring my body and dreading all physical activity. Her classes improved my posture, mood, pelvic floor prolapse and sense of community. Suki truly treats every person as the individual she is, body and spirit, offering personalized attention, and adjustments in a lighthearted and gentle way. I would recommend her instruction as a midwife to my patients, or to anyone seeking to improve their well-being." -Heather

"I can’t recommend this class enough! It’s a deep massage for your soul and chance to engage with other strong, beautiful women in our community.

The last few weeks— and years— have been overwhelming and this is an incredibly safe and healing space to explore that.

I also want to throw in that it’s extremely affordable! $15 for 90 min or $10 if you could use some extra support."

    -Rachel

"I love practicing with Suki. She creates a warm and relaxed environment that encourages playful exploration, and the safe space to face physical and emotional challenges. Suki attends to her students carefully as individuals, rather than using a "one size fits all" approach. She brings a broad knowledge of anatomy and a gift for explaining and describing the body and how it moves. I've been practicing yoga for years, but studying with Suki has changed my relationship to my practice and helped me address issues in my body (and mind) that have been troubling me for a long time." -Carrie

"I had the opportunity to take Suki's prenatal yoga classes during my first pregnancy and I loved every minute. She is a wonderful instructor and her classes became a weekly escape -- a chance to pause, relax, and take time to focus on my health and well-being. Suki made it a point to spend time with each participant, offering up alternatives or adjustments when needed. After each class, I always felt re-centered and rejuvenated, which was especially helpful towards the end of my pregnancy when I was feeling particularly uncomfortable and nervous. Not only did I feel better physically, but mentally as well. Suki took great care to create a warm, safe and supportive environment for all of us expecting moms, encouraging us to share and learn from each other and celebrate the amazing miracle of motherhood."-Katie
